About Us

Owner, Gene Novak started out his masonry career in 1978 as a mason tender for Grand Traverse Construction. Through the years Gene worked his way up the ladder and completed his masonry apprenticeship in 1982. In 1984 Gene went to work for a well known Leelanau County Mason, Joe Czerniak, where he was employed as a Mason Foreman for the next 18 years. In 2000 Czerniak retired and Novak Masonry, Inc. was established. For the past 10 years Gene has been in business with a committed workforce which includes his sons Chad and Shawn to carry on the family tradition.

Fully licensed and insured, with 35 years of experience. Novak Masonry maintains a highly trained and skilled workforce, ultimately resulting in the highest quality finished product for our customers. Completing home improvement, remodeling, new construction, and commercial projects for over 33 Northern Michigan general contractors. No job is to big or to small.
